In 1981, Estcon Pty Limited set out to deliver capital cost estimates the industry could trust.

There was just one problem: a key component of direct cost estimates was the man-hour data needed to back those estimates didn't exist — not in Australia, and not anywhere else in the world.

 

So we created it.

Years of rigorous research produced internationally patented methodologies and an extensive database covering all areas of piping fabrication and installation activities.

We adopted the recommended practices of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI-USA) and supported the associated formation of the Australian Cost Engineering Society (ACES) serving as the inaugural Chairman of the Perth chapter in Western Australia and deputy National Chairman of Australia.

Our project base included Mining, Oil & Gas, Airfield Fuel Distribution, Bulk Material Handling Systems, Satellite Communications and Paper Manufacturing to name a few.

International companies included USA, Japan, Africa, Italy, New Guinea, Uraguay, Switzerland, Philippines, Germany and Holland..

Cost Data Exchange is how we are sharing that knowledge — giving estimators and project stakeholders in the energy and resources sector access to data they can rely on with confidence.
